• Discussed the issues of company owned data over consumer "owned" data
  • most companies not concerned about security or privacy -- just want to launch a product
  • looked at a couple models for how consumer data can be managed
• Discussed the major consumer oriented aggregation services (Google, Apple, Samsung) and how they aren't currently very consumer privacy or data ownership focused
• Discussed the security issues with the existing products and those dangers toward consumers
• Talked briefly about some newer IoT efforts based around blockchain concepts that are more consumer friendly
