Barb Flanagan provided a demo of the “identity verification” service in use today by Trufina. Sharing verified identity data between user-user, and between business-user was shown. Service currently in use with mentoring sites, auction sites, job hiring/contracting sites, dating sites, and social networking sites.

Justin Tormey provided a demo of “cell phone location finder” service available today by Alcatel-Lucent. The Location Based Services API is available on OpenAPIService.com. Input any Sprint cell phone number and receive the current latitude and longitude position of the cell phone. Plan to expand the service to use all carriers. Discussed various use cases for real-time, passive location (no need to check-in) as an identity attribute.
